This workshop is catered for absolute beginners who are interested to take up ceramics as a hobby, just looking for a fun hands-on activity with friends or family and those who are considering before committing to a course.

The course will introduce you to the basic knowledge of wheel throwing techniques. Students will enjoy hands-on experience in completing their pieces.

Participants will produce 2 vessels, after which they can select one of their vessels to be trimmed, glazed and fired by our instructors.

If you have purchased the workshop and the class size is too small to start the session, we will inform and arrange another session for you.

A one-time 2 hour session
2 wheel-thrown vessels (to be collected between 4 to 8 weeks after the session)

Additional glazing and firing is available at a separate cost

  1. Be on time so that we can have as much class time as possible. Last 15mins of every class is dedicated to clean up the workstation.
  2. Wear comfortable clothing and avoid wearing any precious clothing/accessories to prevent any unwanted damage.
  3. It is strongly advisable to have short nails as it can get in the way of your throwing process.
  4. Mask wearing is optional. But please wear a mask if you have the sniffles or having a cough.
  5. Please ensure you are able to attend all the sessions listed above as there will be no make up class catered for individuals.
