4-Week Handbuilding Course

Embrace hands-on fun with our specialised course designed for beginners to intermediate learners. Learn how you can transform unassuming clay into art pieces with your fingertips (and more)!

What you can expect from this course:

  • Build a strong foundation in handbuilding techniques, exploring various methods such as kneading, rolling, pressing, and pinching to bring your creative ideas to life.

  • Discover and apply a range of decorative techniques to express your personal style and enhance your work.

  • Learn the fundamentals of glaze application to elevate the aesthetic and finish of your ceramic pieces.

  • Explore the versatility of handbuilding by creating unique items—from fridge magnets and accessory trays to coffee cups and beyond. Embrace the beauty of individuality, where no two pieces are ever the same.

  • Based on your creative direction and progress, you can expect to complete approximately 6 to 9 finished ceramic pieces by the end of the course.

4 Sessions (Weekly)
3 Hours per session
1 Bag of 10kg white stoneware clay
2-3 Hand-built vessels per class
All vessels will be glazed and fired

Be punctual. This allows both our trainer and yourself to maximise your allocated session time.
Note that the last 15 minutes of each class is dedicated to cleaning up your workstation.

Wear comfortable clothing and avoid wearing any precious clothing/accessories to prevent any unwanted damage.

It is strongly advisable to have short, trimmed nails. Long nails will get in the way of you having fun creating your masterpieces.

Mask wearing is optional. But please wear a mask if you have the sniffles or having a cough.
